On January 28-29, 2025, Dublin became the heart of climate action and youth empowerment as we, KUFF Environment and Health Association, proudly hosted the 6th Youth4Peace Conference under the theme "Exploring Climate Challenges and Opportunities." This two-day event brought together passionate young activists, environmental experts, and representatives from various organizations, all committed to tackling the urgent climate crisis through knowledge-sharing, collaboration, and innovative solutions.
With a strong focus on youth-driven climate action, the conference featured keynote speeches, expert panel discussions, interactive workshops, and hands-on activities designed to empower young leaders to make a tangible environmental impact in their communities.
Day 1: Understanding Climate Challenges and Opportunities
The Opening Ceremony set the tone for the conference, with a warm welcome to participants from diverse backgrounds. The introductory remarks emphasized the crucial role of youth in climate advocacy, setting the stage for an engaging and action-oriented event.
The morning session featured a powerful keynote speech by Creative Climate Coach, Róisín Dexter, who underscored the urgency of climate change and the need for grassroots movements and youth-led initiatives. She encouraged attendees to see themselves as catalysts for change, capable of influencing policies, businesses, and communities toward sustainability.
Panel Discussion: Global and European Climate Challenges
Moderated by Elaine Nevin, National Director of ECO-UNESCO, the expert panel tackled critical issues, including:
Global Climate Challenges: The latest findings from IPCC reports, the impact of rising temperatures, and extreme weather events.
The EU Green Deal: The European Union’s roadmap to climate neutrality by 2050, policies on renewable energy, biodiversity protection, and sustainable food systems.
Youth Perspectives on Climate Action: Insights from the Youth Climate Voices Survey, which highlighted young people's demand for stronger climate education and policy action.
The discussion concluded with a Q&A session, where young participants challenged decision-makers and explored ways to bridge the gap between youth and policymakers.

Motivational Talk: Scuba Divers Cleaning Our Oceans
One of the most inspiring moments of the day was the presentation by Rıdvan Genç, a passionate environmentalist leading scuba diving clean-up initiatives in Türkiye. His talk, "Scuba Divers Cleaning Underwater Garbage," shed light on the devastating effects of marine pollution and how youth-led efforts can combat plastic waste in oceans.
He emphasized the importance of:
Engaging volunteers in underwater clean-up projects.
Reducing plastic consumption and advocating for ocean protection.
Encouraging community involvement in marine conservation.
His message was clear: Every action, no matter how small, contributes to a larger movement for environmental preservation.

The day started with a fun and engaging trivia session, where participants worked in teams to test their knowledge of climate policies, sustainability efforts, and environmental milestones. This activity reinforced key learnings in an interactive way.
Co-Creation Session: Designing Climate Action Projects
Participants then engaged in a hands-on co-creation session, where they worked in cross-country teams to develop mini-project proposals addressing local climate challenges. This session emphasized local action as a crucial part of the global climate solution, with participants brainstorming ways to:

Climate Fresk Workshop: Understanding the Bigger Picture

Youth4Peace Partner Meeting: Strengthening Future Collaborations
